Project: AMLI Fountain Place | High-rise, Multi-family, Multi-use | Dallas, TX

For my third co-op, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and experience something unlike anything else. I moved to Dallas, Texas to work on a $155 million, 46 story residential tower in the heart of downtown. This project hit many milestones while I was present. We had a topping-out ceremony for the final concrete pour of the building. We also finished the steel structure, rising to a finished elevation of 562' above ground. I was in charge of creating and reviewing submittals, RFIs, PRs, & PCIs through Procore and excel. We also used Procore for the punch list and checklists. This is also where I received exposure to Post-Tensioning concrete, shear walls, curtain wall systems, and structural steel.

Project: McKesson Eastgate | Suite Fit-out and Linear Accelerator | Eastgate, OH

This project was a $4.2 million Cancer Treatment Center Fit-out and Linear Accelerator project. This project was very different in the fact that we had 3 general contractors on site. There was a Core & Shell GC, a 1st floor GC, and a 2nd & 3rd floor GC. This meant that coordination and communication between different contractors were critical. I was exposed to a very early stage of construction on this project. We could not install framing in our suite until a month into my co-op. This meant we were doing a lot of verification with subcontractors and preinstallation meetings for the important equipment. I performed daily safety walks and "box walks". Box walks consisted of verifying any MEP layout and installation within the walls as well as blocking for cabinets/grab bars. I captured daily progress photos as well as weekly 360° photos. Towards the end of my rotation, I was starting to create punch-lists through BIM 360. â€‹

Project: The Christ Hospital – Liberty | New Construction Hospital | Liberty Township, OH

This project was a $44 million new hospital and Medical Office Building (MOB) project. The hospital opened to the public less than a week after I arrived on site. I was tasked with completing as much of the final punch list as possible before opening it to the public. After the hospital opened I took charge and completed the final punch list. After opening to the public, our biggest problems were that the labs and sterilizing rooms would not hold the correct pressures (positive/negative), the grounding for the MRI equipment did not function correctly, and the boiler's door overheated and started to warp. I was tasked with figuring out how to resolve these issues. I received a large exposure to the MEP systems on this co-op. After resolving these issues, I started creating close-out documents and assisted in buy-outs for the future construction of outdoor spaces.
